about

This is a project totally composed through midi gear, written over the years 98-00. I had come into possession of a sound module, with a tiny keyboard and having little or no understanding of midi programming proceeded by manually playing all voices, incorporating almost no afterwork in the sequenser. The music is kind of a naive blend of pop, very melodic ambient and hints of classical contrapunct, back then I was prone to call it "tone poems" as the arrangements were often totally contrary or even alien to any traditional arrangements for pop music.

Ergo, when I wrote it and made it, my ability to translate the midi into wave files and finish the mix was limited, due to lack of proper equipment and also with mixing experience - therefore I put the project aside. In 2008 I started completing the music, exporting it to a audio editing program and add a little extra to the mix with effect routing and so on. Understandably as the progress gathered momentum, the temptation to flavor a little more with live instruments became to strong to withstand.

Sérstakar þakkir fá: Hrafnhildur Benediktsdóttir, Brogan Davison, Else Tunemyr, Sveinn Helgi Halldórsson (fyrir lán á bassamagnara), og fleira gott fólk sem kommentaði á framvinduna.
